All About Us

Brett and Brendan met in person (after a whole week of texting) for the very first time on Thursday, January 19th, 2023 on the rooftop patio of Pali Wine Company in Downtown San Diego, California.


They were promptly rained out.


Brett and Brendan retreated, to the safety of a downstairs table, with their drinks and charcuterie board.


That's when a loud and claustrophobic Trivia Night started.


Together, they explored Downtown, got to know each other better, and the rest is history.

Brett and Brendan go to Disneyland together for the first time! Brett (who is quietly a gigantic Disney fan) is thrilled. Shortly thereafter, Brett becomes an annual passholder.

Brett and Brendan go on their first long weekend trip together! Brett takes Brendan to visit his friends Greg and Sara, as well as Hannah and Scott, across Northern California. Even today, Brendan closes his eyes and returns to that beach in NorCal whenever he gets stressed!

That July, Brett and Brendan travel to the single most incredible, influential, and multiculturally valuable place on the planet: the EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Floria. Brett is horrified to discover that Spaceship Earth is closed on the one and only day that he and Brendan are in EPCOT together. Another thirteen months pass before they return and Brendan finally experiences EPCOT's iconic classic for the first time.

Closing out their first calendar year together, Brett and Brendan traverse 2023's Sip & Safari at the San Diego Safari Park. But, for us locals, let's be real--it's still the Wild Animal Park 👀

Brett and Brendan experience their first hockey game together cheering on the San Diego Gulls at the Sports Arena! Brendan buys a ridiculously expensive jersey that evening, but Brett insists it looks good on him! That makes Brendan feel better about the whole situation. Right?
